Main Purpose

Organize and perform strategic purchasing activities in region Asia (China) for global demands of the Satisloh GROUP

Key Responsibilities      Key Responsibilities

• Identify regional suppliers to fullfil global demands in terms of quality and costs
• Request for quotes
• Technical pre-clarifications with suppliers and internal R&D; focus on quality specification
• Benchmark and select suppliers together with global commodity manager
• Design (global) supply chain logistic for production and spare part supply
• Gain market information and spread with other purchasing departments in the group
• Assess supply base and develop key partners
• Secure material supply; become a main peer for strategic and operational purchasing departments from the group
• Set (global) frame contracts etc. with suppliers; share forecast information
• Drive negotiations in English and local language (Chinese) including price negotiations
• Set and steer projects (international project management skills required)
• Master data maintenance and improvement

Professional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Technical knowledge and business know-how
• Project management skills in multinational supply chain topics
• Open to travel if needed
• MS-Office & SAP-skills desirable

Interpersonal Skills, Social Competencies

• Intercultural experience in industry environment
• Previous experience in China and/or Asia and awareness of Chinese culture and working environment is a plus
• Ability to motivate teams to collaborate and to aim for the same targets
• Ability to think globally and act locally
