GENERAL FUNCTION
The Customer Service Coordinator for Classic Optical Laboratories reports to the Customer Service Manager. This individual will be responsible for responding to customer, contract and health plan inquiries. In this role, the Customer Service Coordinator will have a thorough understanding of plan and contract member benefits.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acting as lead person for designated health plans, contracts and customers
- Answering phone calls regarding order status
- Communicating claim denials to providers via mail, email or fax
- Monitoring delayed orders and communicating updates to providers
- Reviewing prior authorization requests
- Responding to all inquiries beyond the scope of order status and denial reasons
- Assisting Group Leads with onboarding new Customer Service Representatives
- Serving as a product specialist regarding lens styles, materials, options and types; Acting as go-to for product-related questions in absence of a Group Lead
- Unboxing products, including frame inspections and recording received products into system
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ previous related experience and/or training
- Strong communication skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
