Job Purpose

To work as part of the Transitions Optical Logistics team.

Key Responsibilities

• Confirming the details of orders, including the quantity and item type of goods
• Preparing shipping documents
• Packaging items securely to prevent damage during transit
• Managing & arranging for pickup or delivery of goods, working with various transit companies and the bookings onto their respective systems
• Tracking shipments and updating customers on the status of their orders
• Managing the inventory of shipping materials and supplies
• Maintaining records of outgoing shipments,
• Verifying the accuracy of product from production upon its arrival to shipping and sorting them accordingly
• Customs Clearance knowledge – HS tariff codes

Key Requirements (Education and Experience)

• Exposure to Shipping management software and tools (FedEx Ship Manager, UPS World Ship)
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and Inventory control systems
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Experience with resolving issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods, or incorrect shipments
• Manual Invoice Creation
• Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
