GENERAL FUNCTION
The Process Engineer is a critical contributor to EssilorLuxottica Rx manufacturing operations,overseeing engineering excellence across Surfacing,Coating,Finishing.This role focuses on improving process efficiency, reducing variability,enhancing equipment reliability, ensuring operational compliance through both strategic oversight and hands-on execution
As a key liaison between Engineering,Production,Quality,Maintenance,CI teams,the Process Engineer ensures seamless integration of people,processes,technology to deliver high-quality optical products at scale
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process & Equipment Optimization
- Own the performance,uptime,continuous improvement of Rx manufacturing equipment
- Lead process evaluations,Lean initiatives and standardization efforts across departments
- Develop and maintain SOPs,Work Instructions,Process Control Plans (PCPs) coordinate equipment upgrades and calibrations per GLID standards
- Eliminate bottlenecks and support the adoption of innovative technologies (e.g.,IoT, automation)
- Data Analytics & Performance Management
- Use SPC tools to monitor and improve key process parameters
- Analyze trends,identify root causes, implement corrective actions based on data insights.Track and report KPIs including yield,rework,scrap,breakage,EER and cycle time
- Develop dashboards and reports for production teams and site leadership.Lead weekly performance reviews and support strategic planning discussions
- Resource Use & Cost Efficiency
- Monitor consumable usage and ensure alignment with expected lifecycle targets
- Collaborate on cost-effective trials with Procurement and Quality teams
- Support vendor efficiency and sustainability initiatives
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Serve as SME for assigned technologies and processes
- Train operators and cross-functional teams on SOPs troubleshooting and compliance
- Partner with CI Quality, and Maintenance teams to lead improvement initiatives
- Guide onboarding through hands-on training and technical documentation
- Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all activities meet internal standards and external regulatory,safety and environmental requirements
- Conduct process audits,maintain documentation,align with evolving GLID and quality standards
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science,Mathematics,or a related STEM field,or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in process engineering, preferably in high-volume or lab environments,with strong knowledge of data analytics,SPC,continuous improvement, cross-functional leadership
- Proficient in advanced spreadsheet functions (e.g., pivot tables, macros) with experience in data visualization tools (e.g.,Power BI) and familiarity with statistical software (e.g.,Minitab, JMP).Knowledge of CAD or layout tools is a plus
- Strong communicator with excellent organizational skills, results-driven focus, adaptability in dynamic environments

- Flexibility to support occasional night or weekend shifts
- Travel may be required up to 10% of the time

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
