GENERAL FUNCTION

The Inside Sales Representative is the first level of contact with existing accounts in their assigned territory. Responsible for sales performance, customer relations, growing sales volume for our Company products in assigned accounts. Responsible for acquisition and growth of ECP business and loyalty through the positioning and delivery of branded product, marketing strategy, service excellence and technical superiority. They will use corporate tools and applications to document, plan, monitor, and meet sales objectives within their territory. They will develop and maintain strong relationships with customer service and lab personnel to ensure success. They will consistently achieve established sales goals, managed care optimization and practice growth. The Sales Rep must communicate with their Sales Manager on personal development, sales results, and action plans

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops relationships with brokers via in-market and telephonic initiatives focusing on <2000 group market to grow sales.
  • Executes quote requests, follows up and facilitates sales process to exceed broker expectations.
  • Leverages internal departments to facilitate sales process (network, finance, and product).
  • Educates broker constituent through in person and telephonic efforts.
  • Effectively presents the Company's value proposition.
  • Manages sales process internally and externally.
  • Manages process metrics including population of contact management tool to drive business intelligence.
  • Develops compelling proposals to grow segment sales.
  • Manages agency books of business.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • AA, BA, or BS degree in Marketing or Sales Management, with minimum two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of Sales, Sales Support or Marketing experience
  • Customer/Client support experience
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable managing telephonic relationships
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Benefits/Insurance sales experience
  • Business to Business sales experience
  • Knowledge of benefits industry
  • Knowledge of brokerage industry
  • Territory management skills
  • Experience using SalesForce.com
  • Goal driven high performer with demonstrated success
  • Sense of urgency responding to customers

 

 

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
