Your Role

We are seeking a dynamic, Singapore-based Medical & Professional Affairs (MPA) Consultant to support scientific engagement, professional education, professional conferences, partnerships and medical communications initiatives globally. This is a great  opportunity for a professional with a background in healthcare, eye care, or medical communications who wants a flexible role with meaningful impact. The role involves close collaboration with the global MPA team.

  • Support organization, logistics and coordination of activities with partner organizations and professional associations for key vision care categories, and other professional relations activities as needed.
  • Assist in implementing the editorial calendar for medical communication, including global conferences, scientific outreach, and communications related to partnerships.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing global scientific and medical content such as press releases, social media posts, assets and training resources.
  • Coordinate expert content for Leonardo, EssilorLuxottica’s learning platform, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Track global MPA deliverables and help prepare reporting documents and internal dashboards.
  • Liaise with global medical advisors to support scientific content development and reviews.
  • Liaise with external agencies to develop digital assets (e.g. brochures, videos, presentations).
  • Support EssilorLuxottica’s partnership at key B2B professional congresses and events to build and strengthen key vision care categories.
  • Manage planning, budgeting, and timelines for professional relations projects, collaborating with external agencies and internal teams.

Other responsibilities may be assigned in line with evolving global priorities in the MPA team.

 

Main requirements: 

  • Degree in Optometry, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Communications or related field.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in medical affairs, scientific/B2B communications, marketing, business or professional education, preferably within eye care, pharma, health care or med-tech.
  • Experience working in global teams or in an international environment is a plus.
  • Previous work with professional associations, experts, professional conferences or medical/B2B content creation is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong scientific communication and writing skills; able to tailor messages to ECPs and professional audiences.
  • Fluent English speaker with excellent writing, presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and experience with digital learning platforms.
  • Organized, self-motivated, strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed, multicultural environment.
  • Experience working with agencies or vendors for content or event development.

  • Internal: R&D, Global Marketing, Leonardo, Corporate Communications, Legal, IP, Compliance, Regulatory, Regional and local Marketing and Medical & Professional Affairs teams
  • External: Professional associations, conference organizers, partner organizations, external subject matter experts, creative agencies
