Your role

The resource will be part of the Product Development teams and will guide and define the technical aspects from appearance model to the DMF phase for smart eyewear wearable devices and accessories focused on related Charging Cases.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to drive complex projects for smart glasses category. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background on soft goods engineering applied on consumer electronic products combined with excellent project management skills, capable of coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products on time and within budget

Main responsibilities: 

•    Manage the product development process from appearance model to the DMF phase for projects related to consumer electronics that combine soft and hard components
•    Collaborate closely with engineering, design, product management, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution of product development phases.
•    Engineering design of hard and soft components implementing the preliminary engineering solutions for DFM phase.
•    Communicate and coordinate the prototype team to create physical detailed products
•    Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project plans, schedules, and technical specifications
•    Identify risks and issues early and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
•    Lead technical discussions and decision-making across industrial design and DFM teams.
•    Lead regular project status meetings and reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.
•    Coordinate with external partners, suppliers, and vendors as necessary.
•    Drive continuous process improvements in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Main requirements: 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, or related field); advanced degree preferred.
•    5+ years of engineering design and project management experience in high-end consumer electronics products, ideally in products that combine soft and hard parts.
•    Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced, innovative product environments.
•    Strong knowledge of soft goods engineering, hard components engineering and related technologies applied on consumer electronics products   
•    Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
•    Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
