Job Title: Senior Executive – Manufacturing Excellence
Location: Bangalore, India
Your Role
Reporting to the Assistant Manager – Manufacturing Excellence, the Senior Executive will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. The role focuses on enhancing process efficiency, reducing waste, improving productivity, and ensuring high standards of quality and cost performance through structured methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
Main Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement & Process Excellence
· Lead and execute Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives across production lines
· Identify opportunities for improvement in cycle time, yield, and operational costs
· Drive productivity enhancement and waste reduction initiatives
Process Optimization
· Analyze existing manufacturing processes and recommend improvements
· Implement standard work practices and process control methods
· Monitor key KPIs such as OEE, rejection rate, rework, and downtime
Data Analysis & Reporting
· Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to drive decision-making
· Prepare dashboards and MIS reports for management review
· Identify trends, gaps, and recommend corrective actions
Quality Improvement
· Collaborate with the Quality team to reduce defects and improve first-pass yield
· Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
· Implement poka-yoke (mistake-proofing) techniques
Cross-functional Collaboration
· Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
· Support new product introduction (NPI) and process stabilization
· Facilitate training programs on lean tools and best practices
Standardization & Compliance
· Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation
· Ensure adherence to manufacturing standards and audit requirements
Areas of Responsibilities and Related Activities
· Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and production efficiency
· Reduce rejection, rework, and operational losses
· Deliver cost savings through continuous improvement projects
· Optimize cycle time and enhance productivity

Vendors, Consultants (if applicable)
B. Technical Skills – Portrait of a Perfect Candidate
· Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
· Proficiency in problem-solving tools such as Fishbone, 5 Why, and Pareto analysis
· Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in Excel, Minitab, or Power BI
· Good communication and stakeholder management skills
· Ability to drive data-driven decision-making and process improvements
C. Candidate Profile
Educational Background
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering
· Certification in Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred)
Experience
· 4–7 years of experience in Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement roles
· Experience in optical, precision, or similar manufacturing industries preferred
D. Languages
· Proficient in English
· Knowledge of regional languages is an advantage
