Position Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all New Product Introduction (NPI) activities within the Wearable Business Unit. This position plays a critical role in coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are achieved on schedule, within scope, and aligned with customer expectations. The successful candidate will act as the key interface between customers and internal departments, ensuring smooth product transitions from concept to mass production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end NPI process, overseeing all operational aspects to ensure product readiness and compliance with customer requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate key project meetings, including NPI readiness reviews, qualification and pilot builds, product start-up, and transfer meetings with internal teams and customers.
- Develop project implementation plans, schedules, and NPI checklists (FPLC) to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor project progress and provide timely reporting on milestones, challenges, and opportunities to management and key stakeholders.
- Drive proactive issue identification, risk assessment, and mitigation planning to ensure project success.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and execution throughout the NPI phases.
- Participate in all build phases (pre-pilot, pilot) and evaluate results to validate production readiness and quality performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar project management role within the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, particularly in product transfers, NPIs, prototyping, and production ramp-up.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
