Production scheduler has a key role in creating daily and weekly production scheduling plans by integrating the knowledge of production processes and constraints to ensure the smooth of production run with maximize the use of resources. Production scheduler must also be able to comprehend reports and make recommendations about where improvements might be made as well as scheduler must be able to multitask and provide quick responses to production problems.
My day at EssilorLuxottica
- Responsible for creating and maintaining daily and weekly production scheduling plan.
- Coordinate among different departments to define the material availability timeline, the market priority and the production constraints, defining accordingly the accurate production plan and delivery schedule to the customers.
- Expedite production on market priorities.
- Monitor WIP as target defined and ensure sufficient WIP to serve production line.
- Monitor daily output and work with production to understand the root cause and brainstorm for solution.
- Work closely with production and other functions to meet Industrial KPIs in terms of service and cost.
- Daily meeting with production, supply chain, and logistic team to wrap up and review daily performance.
- Implement projects for the reduction and the continuous improvement for production scheduling process.
- Inventory monitoring for In-house components.
- Provide analysis and report regarding daily WIP, Line balancing, and Backlog production order.
- Ensure physical movement follows routing and milestone in SAP, train users to follow and acknowledge the impact of consequence.
- Work follow Safety and 5S principles by the guideline of manufacturing.
- Others assigned by superiors.
Must have
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in production scheduling, production planning or planning field.
- At least bachelor’s degree in any related field, preferably with Logistic major or Business administration.
- Good written and spoken communication in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software package (Excel and data analysis), know PowerBI is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in SAP (with module of production planner would be plus).
- Logical Thinking and Problem-Solving Attitude, Target Oriented Mindset and Capability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
