The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and supporting production processes to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness. The role also drives industrial projects and supports workforce capability development through LOFT training program.
Main Missions
Process Development & Optimization
· Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure stable, efficient, and high-quality production.
· Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks, waste, and improvement opportunities.
· Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies with LIFE tools.
Equipment & Tooling Management
· Optimize machine settings to improve yield, cycle time, and stability.
Quality & Compliance
· Ensure processes comply with internal standards, PCP, ISO requirements, and safety regulations.
· Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective/preventive actions with Plant Quality (8D).
· Collaborate with Quality teams to enhance capability and reduce defect rates.
Productivity & Cost Improvement
· Lead cost savings initiatives through automation, process optimization, ergonomics, and material improvements.
· Track efficiency KPIs: cycle time, scrap, downtime, OEE, yield, efficiency, nlh…
· Execute continuous improvement workshops and kaizen activities.
LOFT Training & Workforce Development
Training Development & Delivery
· Develop and deliver LOFT modules for operators and technicians
· Ensure training content reflects process standards, safety requirements, and critical parameters.
Skills Assessments & Certification
· Evaluate operator competency using LOFT standards and maintain certification records.
· Identify gaps and propose targeted development plans.
On the Job Coaching
· Provide practical coaching on standard work, process controls, and equipment operation.
· Support new hires and cross training activities during ramp ups.
Training Material Creation
· Create and update visual work instructions, videos, and LOFT learning aids.
· Update materials after process or equipment changes.
Projects office
Project Planning & Execution
· Lead plant projects office: projects project governance, prioritization, reporting, PM training and coaching
· Help PM to define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
Cross Functional Leadership
· Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS, HR, Sourcing
Continuous Improvement Integration
· Ensure industrial projects contribute to long-term production excellence through improved ergonomics, automation, safety, and capability.
· Embed Lean concepts into new layouts and equipment specifications.
Education
· Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience
· 5–10 years in a manufacturing environment.
· Project management and industrialization experience
Skills
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
· Experience with Lean tools.
· Ability to manage industrial projects and cross functional teams.
· Strong communication, presentation, and training skills
