The Employee Relations & Engagement Manager is responsible for strengthening employee relations, driving engagement initiatives, and ensuring effective internal communication across the organization. This role also plays a critical role in governing and reinforcing compliance with company policies, rules, and regulations by ensuring employees’ understanding and effective implementation in daily practices, contributing to a fair, transparent, and high-performance workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on company policies, rules, regulations, and labor law requirements to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant practices.
- Manage and investigate employee relations cases, recommending appropriate corrective actions while maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
- Support organizational changes and employee transitions, ensuring alignment with policy and legal requirements.
- Oversee and reinforce the governance of HR-related policies, rules, and regulations to ensure consistent understanding and application across the organization.
- Translate policies and regulations into clear, practical guidelines that employees and managers can easily understand and apply in daily operations.
- Develop communication and education initiatives (e.g. briefings, workshops, FAQs, toolkits) to enhance employee awareness and compliance.
- Monitor policy implementation, identify gaps or risks, and recommend improvements to strengthen effectiveness and compliance.
- Partner with Legal and management teams to review, update, and roll out policies in line with business needs and regulatory changes.
Employee Engagement:
Design, implement, and continuously improve employee engagement strategies and programs aligned with company values and business goals.
- Lead engagement surveys, analyze results, and develop actionable improvement plans in collaboration with leadership.
- Organize employee activities, events, and recognition programs to enhance morale, motivation, and retention.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to strengthen employee experience across the employee lifecycle.
Internal Communication:
- Develop and execute internal communication strategies to ensure clear, timely, and consistent messaging across all levels of the organization.
- Manage and improve internal communication channels (e.g. town halls, emails, newsletters, announcements).
- Translate company strategies, policies, and changes into clear, employee-friendly communications.
- Support leadership communication to ensure messages are aligned, engaging, and transparent.
Stakeholder & Leadership Partnership
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers on people-related issues, employee sentiment, and engagement trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive culture, well-being, and inclusion initiatives.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on employee feedback and data.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, or Internal Communication roles.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and employee relations practices.
- Proven experience in designing and leading engagement and communication initiatives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
