The EHS System Officer plays a critical role in ensuring that the manufacturing plant complies with environmental laws, regulations, and corporate sustainability goals. This position supports the EHS department by managing environmental monitoring, permitting, reporting, and compliance programs

 

My day at EssilorLuxottica

  • Develop, implement, and deliver EHS training programs to ensure employee awareness, competence, and compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Supervise and support EHS staff to ensure effective execution of EHS activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ISO management system requirements.
  • Ensure site-level compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) legislation, including monitoring regulatory changes and coordinating necessary actions.
  • Manage and facilitate the Management of Change (MOC) process to ensure that changes to processes, equipment, materials, organization, or operations are systematically assessed, approved, and controlled to prevent EHS risks.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, inspections, and assessments, including those conducted by regulatory authorities (e.g., Department of Industrial Works, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Pollution Control Department).
  • Ensure audit readiness and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions to maintain compliance with EHS-related certifications and standards.
  • Provide support for other management systems within the scope of responsibility, such as ISO 13485 and ISO 9001, as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

 

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Occupational Health & safety.
  • Minimum 7 yrs. Experience of working in EHS department as officer or engineer level in environment area for manufacturing or continuous process plant,
  • Experience in Environmental Impact Assessment, Risk assessment,  VOC emission inventory, Greenhouse Gases emission and Environmental Management System
  • Skills in EHS procedure initiate,
  • Skills in training provider,
  • Skills in assessment for environment and Safety
  • Strong analytical, logic, problem solver and systematic thinking skills
  • Good command in English both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of or Occupational Health safety & Environmental laws.
  • Strong organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Experience with EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO45001) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and EHS monitoring tools.
  • Environmental control license (Wastewater, Air pollution & Hazardous waste)
  • Dangerous goods specialist is advantage
  • Safety professional license is a plus
