Your role:
The Credit Manager CZ & SK owns credit risk decision‑making across the Czech and Slovak markets, including credit limit approvals, order blocking and release, payment plans, and escalation of high‑risk cases in line with Credit Policy. The role balances risk control, cash optimization, and commercial support, while ensuring strong payment discipline and controlled exposure management. The position is responsible for the effective implementation of credit and collection policies, procedures, and standards across the region, and for driving continuous improvements in credit risk management, reporting, and operational processes. The Credit Manager directly leads and manages a team of Credit Controllers, ensuring workload allocation, execution discipline, performance management, and business continuity, and contributes to achieving cash flow, overdue, and DSO targets.

Areas of responsibilities and related tasks
Credit Policy and Risk Management
- Ensures adherence to corporate and local credit policy and monitors application of credit limits and customer risk profiles.
- Ensures strict payment discipline, preventing rolling overdue behaviour and safeguarding new turnover, while driving structured reduction of legacy exposures.
- Investigates and resolves credit risks and problem accounts, managing significant exposures, restructurings and disputes.
- Reviews bad debts and proposes cases for recovery in collaboration with Credit Controllers.
- Ensures audit compliance (internal & external)
Reporting and Performance Monitoring
- Owns and reviews customer aging reports, driving prioritization and escalation actions on overdue buckets and ensuring timely resolution in line with credit policy.
- Develops and maintains dashboards and management reports on aged debt, overdue, DSO, cash flow, credits processed, and provisions for losses.
- Produces accurate and timely credit performance analysis, variance commentary, and insights to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
- Prepares credit‑related forecasts, exposure projections, and cash collection outlooks, supporting month‑end closings, budgeting, and business planning.
Team Leadership and Development
- Directly leads and manages a team of Credit Controllers, ensuring workload allocation, execution discipline, performance management, and business continuity.
- Coaches and develops the team, implements succession and substitution planning, and promotes consistent credit practices across CZ & SK.
- Drives process optimisation and system improvements where relevant, improving efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Participate in CEE initiatives; present to senior leadership; be ready to cover regional scope ad interim.
Collaboration, Stakeholder Management and Other
- Builds effective relationships with internal departments (Finance, Sales, Customer Service) and external partners.
- Acts as liaison with Corporate Credit and regional coordinators to ensure alignment.
- Acts as a senior credit business partner to Sales and Finance leadership, influencing commercial decisions while balancing growth, risk, and cash objectives.
Skills and competencies
- University degree in Economics, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in Credit Management, preferably in an international or matrix environment, with proven people leadership experience.
- Proven people leadership experience and team development skills.
- Expertise in credit risk management and accounts receivable processes.
- Advanced analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Organisational skills and ability to manage priorities under pressure.
- Owns SAP credit management processes, including credit limits, blocking logic, approvals, and audit traceability.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Languages: Czech – native speaker; English – advanced (Slovak is a plus).
