Join a high-performing HR team and partner with our Optical retail businesses across WA and SA. This is a true generalist HRBP role where you’ll work closely with Field Management to shape the people agenda, drive engagement and deliver practical HR solutions in a fast-paced retail environment.
Working from Perth, you’ll enjoy regular connection with people in our business through store visits, training, roadshows, manager meetings in our Subiaco office and weekly team meetings, with quarterly travel to South Australia and Sydney required.
Your Responsibilities
- Partner with Field and Eyecare Management to drive the people agenda and build high-performing retail teams.
- Provide trusted, commercially focused advice across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to development, engagement and retention.
- Lead and advise on employee relations, performance management, grievances and complex people matters.
- Identify and deliver HR projects that enhance employee experience, engagement, culture and operational performance.
- Use people data and insights to identify trends, provide recommendations and influence business decisions.
- Coach leaders on HR policies, employment legislation, awards, EAs and best-practice people processes.
- Support talent development, internal mobility, reward and recognition and broader people initiatives.
- Champion our values and create an inclusive, positive and high-performing employee experience
About You
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or HR generalist, ideally within retail, healthcare, hospitality or another fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Strong ER and performance management capability, with confidence coaching leaders through complex people matters.
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation, awards, EAs, contracts and HR policies.
- A commercially minded approach, with the ability to balance business priorities with a strong employee focus.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to quickly build trusted relationships.
- Strong organisation and project management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
- High integrity, discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential and sensitive matters.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
