GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr Manager of Mergers & Acquisitions and Integration leads end-to-end execution of the brand’s M&A strategy, from sourcing and evaluation through deal execution and post-merger integration. This role drives growth by identifying acquisition opportunities, conducting financial and operational due diligence, and ensuring seamless integration to realize value. The role also supports deal finalization in partnership with Global M&A and oversees onboarding of newly acquired assets into the company’s network.. The ideal candidate will be strong a communicator and networker with experience negotiating deals and/or franchise sales, and a background in either Optical, Medtech, Audiology, or health services.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

M&A Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and refine M&A strategy aligned with growth objectives
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize acquisition targets and investments
  • Lead financial modeling, valuation, and business case development
  • Oversee due diligence across financial, legal, and operational areas
  • Support deal finalization with Global M&A, including approvals and closing
  • Structure and negotiate transactions with leadership and advisors
  • Manage relationships with banks, consultants, and external partners

Integration & Onboarding

  • Lead integration strategy and execution for acquired businesses
  • Oversee onboarding into operational and franchise systems
  • Establish governance, timelines, and success metrics
  • Partner cross-functionally (HR, IT, Finance, Operations, Legal)
  • Track synergies, risks, and value creation opportunities
  • Resolve integration issues and ensure strategic alignment

Franchising & Governance

  • Build institutional knowledge of franchising models and best practices
  • Oversee Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) governance and compliance
  • Partner with Legal and Franchise teams on FDD updates and processes
  • Support integration of franchise assets with focus on consistency and standards

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Advise executive leadership on M&A opportunities and risks
  • Present recommendations to senior leaders and the Board
  • Lead and mentor M&A and integration team members
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across the deal lifecycle

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape
  • Maintain pipeline of potential targets
  • Develop insights to inform strategic decisions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; 
  • 8+ years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development
  • Proven track record executing transactions and leading integrations, ideally in franchised or multi-unit models
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Experience with franchising and FDD governance preferred
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills:

  • MBA or CFA preferred
  • Experience working within a franchise business model.
  • Knowledge of optical products, services, and industry trends.

Pay Range: 62,353.00  -  

This posting is for an existing vacancy within our business. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
