GENERAL FUNCTION

 

The Director of Store Maintenance is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of all store maintenance transactional repairs, scheduled preventative maintenance, non-real estate project work and other maintenance-related issues in a consistent, cost effective manner across all Luxottica Retail brands. Establishes an enterprise Store Maintenance Strategic Plan, effectively manages and develops strong working relationships with service providers and suppliers, as well as with Procurement, Finance, Risk Management, Asset Protection, Real Estate and Brand Store Ops partners. The Director of Store Maintenance is the enterprise’s main point of contact for the maintenance and repairs of our stores.  Stays current on developments related to the field and actively pursue the knowledge and skills required for continual improvement.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Continually develops and implements strategic plans to reduce overall maintenance spend and improve repair resolution time.
  • Partners with Finance Managers to develop and manage budgets for all maintenance/repair expense and capital dollars.
  • Interacts with executive level positions to gain alignment on strategies and initiatives.
  • Develops SLAs for all brands to ensure High Priority and Flagship locations are maintained at the appropriate level.
  • Continually analyzes data points to drive out costs and improve quality of the maintenance process. Updates with the Brands on a monthly basis.
  • Oversees all repairs and projects related to maintaining a “Best in Class” quality store environment for all Brands.
  • Provides appropriate support for emergency situations that require an escalated level of involvement
  • Collaborates with Procurement to manage service provider relationships, KPI’s, and contracts.
  • Constantly evaluates service provider performance and functionality to ensure our locations are receiving “Best In Class” service.
  • Performs periodic site inspections of stores to check overall condition and ensures quality of maintenance service.
  • Manages enhancements, upgrades and overall use of ServiceChannel.
  • Runs analytic reports and measures performance (internal and external) with data.
  • Utilizes repair history data to drive root cause analysis and cost savings initiatives.
  • Strives for an organizational understanding between initial cost and life-cycle costs. Recommends and implements process re-engineering between maintenance and store design/construction that emphasizes life-cycle awareness and sustainable solutions.
  • Actively participates on the Disaster Recovery Team and leads business continuity task force during natural disasters and other major disruptions to business. 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor degree
  • 10+ years related work experience in Maintenance, Construction, Architecture, Store Operations or Design
  • 5+ years management experience
  • Previous experience in managing processes, people, auditing, analysis and budgeting
  • Multi-faceted with working knowledge of: operations, design, construction, finance, project management, systems and technology
  • Excellent business decision making skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task large volumes of work
  • PC and mainframe based computer skills – MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Retail Industry experience

​Pay Range: 149,468.40  - 234,306.40 

 

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
