GENERAL FUNCTION

The Director of Assortment Execution partners with Central Merchandising and Group Store Planning teams to adapt strategy and deliver product plans to maximize sales and profit. They optimize inventory investment to achieve service level goals, drives execution of merchandising strategies that maximize sales, margin, inventory turnover and customer satisfaction while leading their team to achieve maximum results.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead local team and collaborate across all levels and functions of the organization including Operations, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Retail Planning, Training, Marketing and Communications to communicate and execute a comprehensive product, planning, and inventory strategy
  • Implement global strategies at local level
  • Serve as the subject matter expert providing insights and analysis with local business stakeholders and global partners.
  • Ability to support local market and brand initiatives with strong level of analysis and insights to global partners
  • Support Store Segmentation Annual store review, hold operations meetings and respond to Ad hoc requests
  • Effective application of Product knowledge including Product attribute need identification, Local market trends, and hero brands
  • Actively attain local Insights including Market activity and assortment, store, pricing, and feedback.
  • Lead team to support the “last mile” product planning with Distribution, After Sales Center, and Location planning
  • Project manage the execution of the reverse logistics (Recall / RTV) process and timeline in collaboration with the Global Retail and Store Operations teams to support open to buy strategies
  • Collaborate with Store Operations, Location Planning, Distribution Center to manage assortment execution for store remodels, openings, and closings
  • Develop and maintain supply chain execution process documentation driving continuous process improvement
  • Receive store inventory concerns from field leaders, identify themes and share with global team
  • Provide qualitative feedback on Product tests
  • Develop direct reports and build strong succession plans
  • Support 3rd party planning and product procurement for retail banners

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years’ work experience in retail planning, buying or merchandising
  • Self-starter with the ability to lead big initiatives and collaborate across functional teams while balancing multiple projects simultaneously to meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work in ambiguity using sound judgment and critical thinking skills to provide innovative solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence/negotiate
  • Travel required visiting existing and new stores opening
  • Excel, SAP, merchandising and planning systems

​Pay Range: 168,219.00  - 224,157.00 

 

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
