General Function:

A successful candidate will be joining the Lab 4.0 development team and assist in expanding our software and hardware portfolio. More specifically, the candidate will work closely with the Satisloh Integrated Solutions development team to develop new features and enhancements for the MES-360 system (Manufacturing Execution System).

The MES-360 system is a state-of-the-art application that assists in the day-to-day operations of Ophthalmic Laboratories, including data collection from production machines, smart conveyor operations and performance report generation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop features and enhancement for the MES-360 software.
  • Build documentation to share and maintain product knowledge.
  • Support production environments with mission critical software.
  • Participate in testing activities.
  • Assist in projects by other business entities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Knowledge and Experience with Web Applications (back-end, front-end).
  • Knowledge in developing software with the following technologies: Node.js, React, Ruby, Typescript, Ruby on Rails, Python.
  • Knowledge in use of SQL based Database engines (MSSQL & Postgres).
  • 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Capable of working in a small team with constantly evolving projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with various hardware technologies: RFID, NFC, E-Ink
  • Experience in using microcontrollers such as Raspberry-Pi.
  • Experience or knowledge in ophthalmic lens production.
  • Ability to communicate in French.
