Your Role
We’re looking for a results-driven Retail Merchandiser to shape our product assortment strategies across multiple banners. In this role, you’ll play a key part in defining the right product mix, optimizing assortment by segment, and supporting data-informed decisions that drive sales and profitability. Working closely with the General Manager and cross-functional teams, you’ll translate business insights into merchandising strategies that enhance performance and deliver a consistent brand experience. As a Retail Merchandiser, you’ll have the opportunity to directly influence how our products perform in market. You’ll work at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and commercial execution, with high visibility to a variety of internal stakeholders
Main Responsibilities
- Strategic Impact: Shape key decisions that drive assortment, pricing, and brand positioning.
- Cross-Functional Exposure: collaborate closely with the Commercial subsidiary, Category, Merchandise Financial Planning, and Planning teams.
- Career Growth: develop expertise in retail strategy and category management within a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
- Data-Driven Environment: Leverage analytics and market insights to inform and measure the success of your initiatives.
- Store Segmentation & Assortment Strategy: define and maintain store clusters and assortment frameworks that align with local market potential and business objectives.
- Brand & Category Mix Optimization: analyze performance across categories and brands to recommend adjustments that maximize sales, margin, and productivity.
- Product Range Planning: partner with Retail Category and Planning teams to ensure product selections reflect market trends, brand positioning, and seasonal opportunities.
- Collaboration with Leadership: support the subsidiary / local team and internal stakeholders with insights, scenario analyses, and recommendations that strengthen commercial performance.
- In-Season Stock Management: lead in-season stock management activities, optimizing inventory levels and category performance through strategic transfers, replenishments, and product allocations to maximize sell-through results.
- Product Flow and Distribution Oversight: guarantee a smooth and timely product flow from the central warehouse, ensuring efficient stock distribution across the network and overseeing the management of special orders.
- Business Performance Reporting: prepare comprehensive selling reports to assess business performance, providing qualitative insights and actionable feedback to other corporate teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner closely with Visual Merchandising and Marketing teams to ensure the seamless execution of brand initiatives, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
- Collection Presentation: lead seasonal buying debriefs for the local team, focusing on new product injections (NPIs) and key brand trends.
- Markdown and Transfers Management: prepare markdown lists by defining discount percentages and brand/UPC-level exclusions.
- Budget and Forecasting: Collaborate with the Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) team on budget and forecast activities.
- Special Projects: curate dedicated product selections for special initiatives such as Project Pyramidion and Extra Care.
Main Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in economics, engineering or marketing
- 2-5 years in a retail or product-related role
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills alongside commercial attitude
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound data-driven decisions
- Good knowledge of brands and products across EL portfolio
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English and Italian
- A go-getter attitude, curiosity, and strong interest in a career in the retail world

- Other Languages are a strong plus based on market he/she will manage: Spanish, German, French.
