Role Overview

 As a Product Manager for Smart Glasses at EssilorLuxottica, you will collaborate with a dynamic Product team to drive the vision and execution of our wearable technology, working together to shape the future of innovation in this space. You will support identifying long-term opportunities, develop strategies, and guide product roadmaps that align with broader organizational goals. This is a unique opportunity to lead product innovation within a rapidly evolving and competitive space, collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to deliver industry-leading smart glasses.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Customer-Centric Product Development: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver on the product vision, ensuring each project meets its milestones and quality standards. Generate cross-organizational buy-in and consensus, ensuring the customer remains at the heart of product design and strategy.
  • Drive User Testing and Validation: lead the preparation and organization of User Testing and Validation across the entire Product Development process with both internal and external stakeholders. Measure customer satisfaction level and identify key action to drive product acceptance. Manage Fishfooding and Dogfooding activities and cultivate engagement of the internal community.
  • Own the product experiences: define and overlook software experience roadmap, prioritize hero experience interacting with the SW development teams.
  • Collaborate with Technology Partners: Serve as one of the Product representatives for EssilorLuxottica in partnerships with key technology players, overseeing the successful development and launch of innovative smart glasses.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Integrate market research, usability studies, and data insights into product requirements, ensuring a user-centric approach that maximizes satisfaction and market fit. Define and track key performance metrics that inform product success, using quantitative analysis, user insights, and A/B testing to drive data-backed decision-making.
  • In-Market and Sustaining: Oversee the lifecycle of in-market products, managing software updates post product launch, ensuring internal stakeholders are aligned and informed of the experience progress.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, legal, and engineering, to define product requirements, develop roadmaps, and guide the product from concept to completion.
  • Adapt in a Dynamic Environment: Maximize efficiency in an evolving market, embracing creativity and fluid processes to develop innovative solutions.
  • Identify New Opportunities for Exploration: Leverage expertise in eyewear manufacturing and development to inform decision-making, optimize processes, and identify opportunities for portfolio innovation and enhancement.
  • Navigate Ambiguity with Confidence: Bring clarity and structure to emerging opportunities, consistently demonstrating initiative and executing with minimal oversight.

 

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in product management, technical product development, UX Design
  • Background in consumer electronics product strategy and development strongly preferred
  • Experience in defining, documenting and managing Product Requirements highly preferred
  • Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, research) through the full product lifecycle
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to integrate customer feedback into product development
  • Expertise in building 0-to-1 products from concept to launch
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting presentation to senior executive audiences
  • Preferred experience in a consumer-focused technology company, or technical proficiency 
  • Preferred understanding of global manufacturing, and PLM systems for NPI
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, including international
