Your role

We are looking for a M&A Manager to join the Global M&A team. Candidates must have  a solid background in executing complex cross border M&A transactions and will play a key role in managing deals across their full lifecycle - from origination to closing -  in business areas core to EssilorLuxottica company as eyewear, iconic brands, fashion, luxury, sport, wholesale, retail, ecommerce, technology, software, R&D, smart glasses and wearables, and medtech. Based in Milan.

Main responsibilities: 

• Monitor market trends and identify potential strategic opportunities
• Support negotiation phases and structuring of transactions
• Support and lead execution of M&A transactions (majority/ minority, mergers, carve-outs, etc.)
• Perform financial analysis, valuation modelling (DCF, trading & transaction comparables)
• Coordinate due diligence across external advisors (financial, legal, tax, commercial etc.) and internal members of business functions
• Prepare investment memoranda, management presentations and board materials
• Interact with target representatives,advisors, partners and stakeholders
• Support the legal team across all transaction documents and required corporate actions

Main requirements:

• 6–8 years of experience in M&A roles within Investment Banks, M&A Advisory Boutiques, Big 4 Transaction Services / Corporate Finance, M&A Department of a relevant industry player or in Private Equity funds
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
• Proven experience in managing multiple workstreams in complex transactions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English (mandatory)
• Italian and French language skills are highly preferred
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
