Your role
We are looking for an E-commerce Site Merchandiser, who will be responsible for optimizing the online shopping experience, ensuring that products are effectively showcased, promotions are well-executed, and navigation is seamless to drive conversions and enhance customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a consistent and engaging user experience. Your role will be critical in managing product sorting, promotional activities, and data-driven merchandising decisions to maximize sales and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of e-commerce best practices. They should be proactive, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent communication and coordination skills.
The main responsibilities include:
- Managing and optimizing product visibility across the website, ensuring effective product placement and navigation.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and execute campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
- Utilizing Algolia and CMS tools to update sorting rules, homepage carousels, and landing pages.
- Monitoring performance metrics and conducting analyses to enhance site engagement and conversion rates.
- Supporting the integration of personalization initiatives and ensuring seamless customer journeys.
The candidate will report to the E-Commerce Business Insight Manager.
Main responsibilities:
Website Merchandising & Optimization:
- Develop and refine sorting strategies on Algolia to optimize product visibility and ranking, balancing business priorities and customer experience
- Autonomously assess merchandising performance and propose optimizations to enhance engagement and conversion rates
- Update homepage carousels, landing pages, and promotional banners via Algolia and CMS, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Oversee the implementation of personalization initiatives, such as "You May Also Like" and Minicart recommendations, evaluating their effectiveness through data analysis
- Continuously monitor site navigation and product discovery to identify friction points and propose data-backed improvements
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct deep dives on e-commerce performance to measure the effectiveness of merchandising strategies and recommend adjustments
- Track and analyze key e-commerce KPIs (traffic, conversion rate, AOV, revenue, stock sell-through, etc.) to inform decision-making and deep dive on brands, models and new collection
- Prepare and share comprehensive reports and insights with internal stakeholders to drive strategic decisions
- Work closely with analytics teams to measure the impact of site actions and continuously refine merchandising selections based on data
Promo & Clearance Management:
- Strategically select products for promotions based on business KPIs, aligning selections with commercial and financial targets.
- Maintain and refine clearance product lists, ensuring seamless execution, stock optimization
- Monitor product availability across direct and indirect channels, identifying discrepancies and opportunities for realignment. Liase with planning & D2C merchandising team
- Quantify the impact of product discontinuities and recommend proactive measures to mitigate potential revenue losses
- Collaborate with performance marketing and CRM teams to ensure site promotions are effectively leveraged across all customer touchpoints
Main requirements:
- At least 3-4 years of experience in Merchandising or in Product team
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Good knowledge of merchandising principles, including product presentation, assortment strategy, and promotional planning to drive sales.
- Ability to assess business needs, identify opportunities, and autonomously recommend merchandising adjustments to balance revenue, inventory, and customer experience
- Enthusiasm for digital innovation, market trends, and the evolving online retail landscape
- Prior experience in an e-commerce role preferred, with a deep understanding of online consumer behavior, conversion optimization techniques, and omnichannel dynamics
- Strong analytical skills to interpret e-commerce KPIs (traffic, CR, AOV, revenue, etc.), assess product performance, and optimize site merchandising accordingly. Familiarity with Adobe Analytics preferred
- Experience with Algolia or similar tools to manage sorting rules, product ranking, and search visibility (preferred)
- Familiarity with CMS platforms for landing page updates and product management (preferred)
- Experience with project management tools like ClickUp or similar for campaign planning (preferred)
