GENERAL FUNCTION
This position is responsible for providing daily work direction, guidance and training to junior technicians while performing work in one or more of the automation areas, highly focused on providing support for the Logistics Maintenance team responsible for performing quality added preventive maintenance activities to ensure maximum machine uptime, leading root cause analysis activities and working with Vendor Tech Support resources to ensure timely repairs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Primary focus on robotics and automation systems.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- This role serves as the Logistics Subject Matter Expert for Maintenance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machine and process issues, control systems, PLC Systems, PC Systems, pneumatics, AC/DC voltage, process fluids, plant support equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, robotics, sorters, RFID, Printers, (mechanical, sensors, pneumatics)
- Develop engineering solutions to improve processes,, increase uptime and prevent similar failure modes.
- Research new equipment, improve PM plans and spares inventory.
- Troubleshoot and repair of advance technologies and robotic machines
- Document all repairs and work on a daily basis (CMMS)
- Identify parts needed for repairs
- Assist with commissioning of new equipment
- Works safely and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or certification from technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance
- 4+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferable in the Robotics Automation industry
- Team Lead experience; able to interface with contractors and vendor resources
- High degree of electro-mechanical skill required including ability to perform precision alignment procedures
- Competent to read and understand wiring schematics for troubleshooting purposes
- Must be experienced electrician with 120V-220V and 3 phase 480VAC experience
- Must understand 24vDC control systems. VFD, PLC, Power Supplies, sensors, etc.
- Understanding of maintenance techniques and PM procedures
- Motivated, self-starter, analytical skills, interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Good understanding of computers
- Excellent oral and written communication.

- Reactive and flexible in progressive fast-paced dynamic environment where priorities frequently change
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Initiative to learn and be inquisitive/critical thinking and problem solving
- Ability to work more than 8-hours a day, weekends and holidays as needed.
