GENERAL FUNCTION
EyeMed IT is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Specialist – IT Project Management to support the delivery of small to mid-sized Capital and OPEX IT projects. This role will also play a key part in demand management for internal application requests, ensuring priorities are clearly defined and delivered in alignment with business needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Java-based web applications, and familiarity with ETL/data integration platforms (such as Informatica) is a strong plus. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, QA, and infrastructure staff to ensure smooth execution of projects.
Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the full lifecycle of smaller-scale Capital and OPEX projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring projects meet scope, quality and timeline requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (developers, business analysts, QA, etc.) to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, status reports and stakeholder communications.
- Manage project scope and change requests to ensure project goals are met within budget and timeline constraints.
- Communicate project status, risks and issues to stakeholders and leadership in a clear and concise manner.
- Facilitate the intake and prioritization of application-related requests, leading demand management activities for assigned platforms.
- Accurately transcribe, create, update and distribute meeting minutes.
- Conduct regular status meetings with stakeholders and project team members.
- Ensure adherence to our IT governance, compliance and documentation standards.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in IT project coordination or project management.
- Experience working with or managing projects involving Java-based web applications.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile or hybrid methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in SQL and the ability to work with data for reporting or troubleshooting.
- Experience with data analysis to support project decision-making or requirements gathering.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with business goals and financial objectives.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining project scope and quality.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare industry standards, regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and claims processing systems.
- Experience with ETL/data integration tools, especially Informatica
- Exposure to demand management
- Basic understanding of infrastructure components related to application delivery.
- Experience using JIRA
