We Are Looking for a Maintenance Head Who Will:

Be responsible for maintaining the building, facilities, and laboratory equipment of Essilor Philippines. This includes ensuring preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs are implemented effectively to support operational excellence. The role reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with Customer Service, Logistics, and Laboratory teams.

Main Responsibilities

• People Management – Lead and manage the Maintenance team by implementing agreed policies and procedures, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance – Promote and implement effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs for machines and equipment to minimize downtime.

• Spare Parts Management – Develop and maintain complete spare parts lists for all machines/equipment and ensure timely availability of critical parts.

• Equipment Records & Documentation – Prepare and maintain accurate reports such as breakdown summaries, job order status, and monthly synthesis reports.

• People Development – Define training plans, coach and develop subordinates, conduct performance reviews, and promote multi-skilling of staff.

• Communication – Cascade global and company updates to staff, ensuring alignment with Essilor’s culture and values.

• Continuous Improvement – Implement equipment improvement actions, promote reliability engineering practices, and support efficiency initiatives.

• Other Duties – Undertake additional responsibilities aligned with the role, as may be assigned by superiors.

Main Requirements

• Education – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.

• Experience – Proven track record in preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and fabrication jobs, preferably in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.

• Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge in machine troubleshooting, repair analysis, and fault-finding.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, symbols, and technical data.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google tools.

  • Knowledge of Lean/ Six Sigma tools and methodologies is an advantage.

• Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership capacity and ability to coach and motivate teams.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proactive, autonomous, and adaptable to change.
