Assistant Finance Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Your role

We are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) who will lead our financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting initiatives while providing strategic financial insights that support business performance and decision-making. In this role, you will oversee the FP&A function, supervise the Financial Analyst, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial excellence, optimize business performance, and support the achievement of the company's strategic objectives.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, multi-year financial planning, and rolling forecasts to support business objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation, consolidation, and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop the Financial Analyst, ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis, including budget versus actual, trend, and variance analysis, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
  • Partner with department heads to develop financial models, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee working capital analysis, capital expenditure evaluations, and cash flow optimization initiatives.
  • Identify financial risks, cost optimization opportunities, and business improvement initiatives to enhance profitability.
  • Drive continuous improvements in FP&A processes, reporting, and financial analytics through automation and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
  • Perform other strategic finance projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned by the Head of Finance.

Main requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA is preferred. Professional certifications such as CFA or CMA are an advantage.
  • Minimum of 7–8 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, corporate finance, or related functions, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced analytical and presentation skills.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365, as well as Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to senior leadership.
  • Willing to travel as business needs require.
