Your role
By joining this internship, you will have the opportunity to be part of EssilorLuxottica’s dynamic environment, within the Contact Lenses Hub (CL Hub) — driving the development of Lenstore and Vision Direct, two of Europe’s leading e-commerce contact lens retailers.
As a Strategy & Business Development Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the team’s strategic initiatives to expand our business across markets and customer segments. This internship sits at the intersection of market research, business strategy, and marketing innovation, offering hands-on experience in identifying growth opportunities, analysing performance, and contributing to projects that shape the future of the contact lens industry.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, international environment, learning how strategic and commercial decisions are made within a global e-commerce business.
Main responsibilities:

- Customer-Centric Mindset
- Support the team in understanding and improving the customer experience across key markets.
- Help analyse feedback, reviews, and NPS data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to projects that localise and optimise the customer journey (e.g. website UX, content testing, translations).
- Act as a “voice of the customer” by bringing insights from your own research and observations.
2. Strategic and Commercial Support
- Assist in the preparation of performance reports, business updates, and market analyses for senior management.
- Support budget tracking, revenue reviews, and forecasting activities by collecting and structuring data.
- Contribute ideas for new commercial initiatives (e.g. subscriptions, loyalty, or digital experience enhancements) based on research and benchmarking.
- Help monitor competitors and identify trends or innovations that could inspire Vision Direct’s strategy.
3. Marketing and Growth Projects
- Support the execution of marketing campaigns across channels including Paid Search, CRM, Social, and Partnerships.
- Coordinate with agencies and local teams to ensure campaign assets, translations, and timelines are delivered on schedule.
- Help measure campaign performance and provide insights to improve CAC, retention, and engagement.
- Work closely with the Brand team on Everclear™ (private label) initiatives, including campaign preparation, pricing analysis, and market research.
4. Operational Excellence and Reporting
- Maintain key trackers, dashboards, and reports to support decision-making.
- Prepare regular summaries of KPIs (traffic, conversion, AOV, etc.) and highlight insights or anomalies.
- Support the team in pricing, promotional, and competitive benchmarking projects.
- Proactively follow up on assigned tasks, ensuring each is completed from start to finish and documented properly.
Main requirements:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive communication and a structured way of working.
- A “doer” mindset: ownership, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
- Fluency in English; French, German, or Spanish is a plus.
