Position: Digitalization Engineer

Location: Latkrabang, Bangkok

Mission

This role is responsible for supporting and assisting the zone’s technical and functional teams by consolidating all Data-Driven Manufacturing solution requests and ensuring alignment with GLID teams and GLI Techno/Expertise teams.

The position also guarantees the delivery of IS Data-Driven solutions and related content at high quality standards, including proper documentation and knowledge capitalization.

Context and Main Challenges

• Broad Applicative Scope: GLID C&D Data-Driven Manufacturing Solutions – Pleiades Suite, Pleiades Cloud Services, Product & Process Control, Statistical & Analytical Tools.
• Ability to work in an agile environment, managing ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Strong results orientation to ensure successful task execution in a dynamic context.

Main Responsibilities

Projects / Solutions Implementation – Global Scope

• Contribute to digitalization and Data-Driven Manufacturing initiatives as a project resource.
• Collaborate on defining the GLID C&D Data-Driven project portfolio and roadmap, coordinating with the Créteil team to consolidate Asia-based projects and requests.
• Develop functional specifications and coordinate with development teams for code implementation.
• Support project pilots and global rollouts.
• Ensure high-quality solution delivery and comprehensive documentation.

Support & Expertise – Global Scope

• Manage corrective system evolution plans in collaboration with GLI Expertise teams, Zones, and Group IT (problem analysis and patch validation).
• Provide Level 3–4 support to all stakeholders.
• Deliver knowledge transfer sessions to Zone IT and Group IT teams.
• Maintain test environments, databases, and use-case referentials.
• Validate application releases and consolidate deployment test results.
• Monitor and update support KPIs, ticket backlogs, and reports; maintain functional documentation and troubleshooting guides.

  Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge in Data-Driven solutions, cloud platforms, and optics manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).
  • Excellent analytical, synthetic thinking, and project management skills.
  • Creative mindset with a structured approach.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication and cross-department collaboration skills.
  • Programming knowledge in languages such as Python and SQL.
