Position:Continuous Improvement & Digital Integration Manager

Report to :Head of Continuous Improvement

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement & Digital Integration Manager to connect our Continuous Improvement (Lean Methodology) and Digitalization teams, driving the development and deployment of standardized processes for Manufacturing Execution System (MES) projects and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting. This role will focus on leveraging expertise in Lean methodologies to define functional specifications, standardized workflows, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for MES and BI development, ensuring alignment with operational excellence principles.

The role will also collaborate closely with the Digitalization team to support the integration of manufacturing digitalization bricks and ensure the deployment of scalable, data-driven solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency globally.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Standardization for MES Development:

  • Act as the primary connection between the Continuous Improvement and Digitalization teams, ensuring Lean principles are embedded in all digital solutions.
  • Organize and lead workshops across global plants with similar processes/products to identify best practices, optimize workflows, and standardize processes.
  • Define and document functional specifications and standardized workflows for MES development, ensuring alignment with Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with the Digitalization team to ensure MES systems are developed and deployed in line with functional specifications and operational needs.
  • Support the rollout of MES systems by providing expertise on lean processes and resolving process-related challenges during implementation.
  • Work as global BPO in the Electra-MES project

Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting for Manufacturing Efficiency:

  • Define functional specifications for BI reports to monitor and analyze manufacturing efficiency KPIs, ensuring alignment with Lean principles.
  • Collaborate with the Digitalization and IT teams to design dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights into production performance, resource utilization, and process bottlenecks.
  • Work with manufacturing teams to identify the most critical KPIs, such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), cycle times, scrap rates, and downtime, and ensure their accurate representation in BI tools.
  • Ensure BI reports and visualizations are standardized, scalable, and user-friendly for global deployment.
  • Drive the adoption of BI tools across plants, training teams on interpreting data and leveraging insights for continuous improvement.

Collaboration with Digitalization and Ideal State Teams:

  • Work closely with the Digitalization team to integrate manufacturing digitalization bricks (e.g., MES, IoT solutions) into standardized processes.
  • Partner with the Ideal State Manager to align MES processes with standardized layouts, flows, and equipment that reflect the leanest and most advanced technologies.
  • Ensure that digital solutions are scalable, standardized, and aligned with the company’s global manufacturing excellence goals.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or MES systems is a plus.

Experience:

  • Manufacturing Operations Experience (>5 years)
    • Plant Operations: Direct experience in manufacturing operations management
    • Process Management: Experience in process design, improvement, and standardization
    • Quality Systems: Knowledge of quality management systems and compliance
    • Lean/Six Sigma: Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience working in cross-functional and global teams, with a focus on collaboration and alignment.

Skills:

  • Expertise in Lean methodologies and process optimization, with the ability to define functional specifications for MES and BI tools.
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead workshops and drive consensus among diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and KPI definition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
