Position:  Asia Quality Engineer

Location: Latkrabang, Bangkok , THAILAND

The mission of this role is to create quality systems and processes that aid Asia Mass Production plants, within  – Thailand, China, Philippines, Laos and UHI and 1.53 categories - to meet product specifications, comply with external regulations, and internal standards.  To be the voice to protect customer and group interest.

Your day in the Asia Quality team

 

1) Quality and Customers

  • Lead Customer Connection Program with plants: Customer BSC, customer visits, Customer Education, action plan on improvements as outcomes of customer satisfaction surveys. 

  • Ensure compliance with Mass prod Quality Referential 

  • Establish a process for Customer Issues Resolution: Structured 8D approach, animate effective exchange among the plants on lessons learned.

  • Monitor process capability of the plants and facilitate support and action plan building on improvement based around BSC performance

  • Set in place process quality audits, work with plants to report issues, alert on non-conformance and support improvement action plans to get back to standard.

  • Monitor and report the product and process performance, actively follow the action plans on improvement.

  • Support alignment between Mass prod plants and Rx labs.

  • Develop a continuous improvement mindset, propose and work with engineering/sites improvement ideas.

 

2)  Interactions

  • Work closely together with quality managers on key topics in the plant and support product and process quality guarantee.

  • Work with customers and support plants during quality issues needing regional coordination.

  • Animate activities among QA Managers, Quality Experts, NPI Coordinators, WW Manuf Q, SC, GE, Market Quality, and QMS teams.

 

Must have

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering, or Chemistry or related field.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Hands on and pro-active approach

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

  • Proficient with MS office program (especially MS Excel, MS Powerpoint etc.), LIMS

  • Excellent written and spoken English

20-30% of time travelling is required

 

Technical Competencies:

  • Technical Knowledge of Product and Process

  • Strong on analytical skills, problem solving.

  • Technical knowledge on Quality systems, process control, Statistical analysis, Group QMS, ISO 13485

  • Specification (product & process) validation to product requirement (safety, regulation, claim, consumer benefit and satisfaction)

  • Knowledge of Quality tools & methodologies (concept analysis, risk assessment...)
