Position Overview:

We are seeking a customer‑centric and execution‑driven Category Promoter – Wearables to drive the sell‑out performance and commercial success of EssilorLuxottica’s Wearables category, with a dedicated focus on AI smart glasses.

Acting as the in‑store specialist and category advocate, you will elevate AI smart glasses across key independent opticians through high‑impact product demonstrations, staff training, merchandising excellence, and direct sales support. Your mission is to make wearables a priority for in‑store teams and consumers, increasing conversion, accelerating adoption, and strengthening category visibility at point of sale.

Blending sales execution, training, and category activation, you will play a pivotal commercial role by influencing purchasing decisions, supporting partners primarily on sell‑out activities, and delivering premium consumer experience.

As a Sales Product Specialist, you act as the bridge between technology, retail, and the end consumer, using a hands‑on, customer‑oriented approach to position EssilorLuxottica Wearables as the ultimate fusion of technology, design, and lifestyle across your territory.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Business Development:
    • Drive sell‑out performance across the AI smart glasses portfolio, with selective sell‑in support when required to enable in‑store execution.
    • Present, position, and demonstrate the unique features and benefits of EssilorLuxottica’s connected eyewear solutions.
    • Develop and execute strategic territory sales plans, ensuring alignment with business and category objectives.
    • Collaborate with Marketing and Category teams to activate local campaigns and in-store experiences that drive consumer conversion.
    • Train Opticians on sales methods to enable better sell out of our products.
  2. Technical Product Expertise and Training:
    • Become a product expert with deep knowledge of wearable technology, including connectivity, sensors, and AI integration.
    • Train independent opticians and healthcare partners on product functionality, digital tools, and consumer benefits.
    • Simplify and translate technical features into compelling sales stories.
    • Stay informed on emerging tech and digital innovation trends to ensure competitive positioning.

 

 

  1. Customer Engagement & sell-out Activation :
    • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer and consumer needs to deliver tailored solutions.
    • Support in-store activation: merchandising, demos, and digital engagement.
    • Track and enhance sell-out performance through data-driven insights and corrective actions.
    • Capture and share customer and consumer feedback with product and marketing teams to inform continuous improvement.
  2. Market Intelligence:
    • Monitor market trends, competitor landscape, and consumer behaviors in the connected eyewear and wearable tech sectors.
    • Provide data and insights to shape local sales strategies and marketing activations.
    • Act as the local ambassador for all new wearable product launches and pilots
  3. Reporting and Administration:
    • Report regularly on sales performance, forecasts, and market activity.
    • Analyze and track KPIs including lead conversion, territory coverage, and sell-out growth

Key Deliverables:

    • Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
    • Ensure strong sell-in and sell-out performance across assigned accounts
    • Deliver regular training sessions and product demonstrations
    • Provide timely, actionable market insights to support category development
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams on marketing activations and launches

    • Strong commercial and consultative selling skills, focusing on B2C.
    • Excellent technical aptitude — ability to understand and explain connected eyewear technologies and digital features.
    • Effective communicator able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on performance and innovation.

Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience in sales (B2B/B2C), preferably in technology, consumer electronics, optical, fashion, or healthcare industries.
    • Strong customer care experience.
    • Proven track record of selling innovative or technical products is a plus.
    • Experience in connected devices or wearable technology is a strong plus.
    • Willingness to travel within assigned markets for customer visits, events, and trainings
    • Fluency in German, English is a plus.
