Your role:

The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, as well as providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.  

Your responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Local GAAP.  
• Ensure timely and accurate closing of the books.
• Ensure the timely and accurate VAT declarations, including Intrastat.
• Support Tax consultants to prepare and file various tax returns and any other reports.

General Ledger Management:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform account analysis and reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy of financial data.

Audit and Compliance:

• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls.
• Produce any internal reports compliant to Group procedures.

Team Leadership:

• Mentor and train junior accounting staff (remotely located in Italy).
• Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Main requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.  
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience with financial reporting systems.
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
