GENERAL FUNCTION

Position requires knowledge of engineering techniques - Plan/conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques. New approaches to problems while working closely on processes to qualify/sustain controls, troubleshoot issues and enhance operations. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring all aspects of an operation/process meets specified EHS regulations.
  • Develop, document and maintain Process Capability metrics, SPC Plans and PFMEAs.
  • Ensuring the process works at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output in order to meet KPI’s
  • Identifies and executes projects and initiatives using various Lean tools and methodologies including but not limited to Process Management, Visual Management, Standard Work, Root-Cause Problem-Solving (including methodologies like Six Sigma), VSM, and Kaizen.
  • Maximize the efficiency of equipment, tooling and personnel by developing process for manufacturing
  • Design effective material workflow, floor space, and equipment layout with LEAN principles
  • Proactively look for and recommend process improvements by using mechanization and automation to optimize both manufacturing and business processes.
  • Validate new releases for manufacturing
  • Manage the tooling management program in Cutting and TFC
  • Cross-functional teamwork to solve complex problems and recommend improvements (R&D, NPI, Finance, Production, Maintenance, Assembly, Customer)
  • Manage/prioritize multiple small-scale projects in a dynamic fast paced environment.
  • Interface with internal engineering disciplines (mechanical, chemical, maintenance, tooling) to ensure coordinated design and complete engineering deliverables.
  • Coordinate and lead Cross-functional meetings and follow-up actions with the team
  • Able to prepare and present projects for the Executive Team
  • Able to benchmark global projects and lead global meetings

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • S. in Engineering (preferred Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing)
  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • Good communication and ability to interface with related departments
  • Strong experience using SPC
  • Skilled in math, problem solving, creative and critical thinking
  • Previous experience in a LEAN Manufacturing environment and Kanban systems
  • Demonstrate detailed analysis experience to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in leading operational excellence or complex projects in a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proven to successfully manage shifting deadlines and priorities
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Ability to implement processes that have delivered MEASURABLE KPI’s

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual – English and Spanish.
  • Six Sigma / Lean Certification
  • CAD Software (CREO or AutoCAD)
  • Minitab Software to perform/analyze DOEs

​Pay Range: 97,909.08  - 127,604.77 

 

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
