GENERAL FUNCTION
The purpose of this position is to plan, organize, direct and control all the activities and resources necessary for the manufacturing of the products that the company develops (assembly of electronics-based products), as well as for the repair service offered to customers. In addition to working closely with the R&D team, the incumbent is expected to supervise production, procurement, planning, quality, and distribution center managers in the United States and Australia. Following the recommendations of these managers, he establishes performance and quality standards that contribute to the achievement of corporate targets.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recommends to the VP Finance, establishes and implements in conjunction with his production manager, the HumanWare manufacturing strategy;
- Recommends to the VP Finance, establishes and implements in conjunction with his/her planning and procurement managers, the management of the supply chain, including the selection of critical partners
- Ensures that production costs meet budget objectives;
- Ensures that the inventory level meets corporate objectives;
- Ensures that products are available in distribution centers to meet sales objectives;
- Develops, maintains and periodically reviews the procedures, work instructions and quality records of his/her department;
- Ensures that all quality-related performance objectives are met;
- Acts as a management representative in the management of the quality system – ISO;
- Identifies the human, physical and financial resource needs of the Operations Department;
- Determines work schedules based on company needs and policies;
- Manages and supervises staff (performance management, discipline, training, work schedule, meetings, etc.);
- Participates and acts as a resource person on various committees;
- Carries out various specific mandates and produces various progress reports on the progress of the production department's mandates and activities;
- Regularly informs his/her supervisor of current activities or projects in his/her department;
- Acts as a project manager with institutional clients for everything related to the establishment of delivery schedules, technical service and the achievement of expectations regarding the performance and reliability and quality of products.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial or electronic engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 10 years of experience in operations management in the context of electronic product assembly
- Manufacturing processes, management systems, Industry 4.0 principles
