General Function:
The Sr Manager Payroll Technology will act as a subject matter expert and key contributor to the planning and execution of payroll systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical capabilities in SAP payroll systems and demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. This role requires a deep understanding of payroll processes and the ability to drive process improvements and ensure system accuracy.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the payroll systems, ensuring efficient and effective payroll operations.
- Assist in gap analysis for improvements for routine and ad-hoc assignments.
- Support all phases of payroll from a system perspective, effectively serving as an expert on all related matters.
- Conduct research and initiate resolution of any data conflicts that impact payroll processing.
- Conduct detailed analysis to identify process improvements and ensure system accuracy.
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams to provide support for ongoing business needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize payroll processes and enhance employee payroll experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ADP systems and payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
- Provide training and support to team members on ADP system functionalities.
- Escalate and address critical issues in a timely manner; initiate actions to mitigate and correct issues.
- Strive for successful and timely completion of payroll related projects and priorities, as allocated.
- Be the contact person for payroll system related projects
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or APA Certification required.
- 8+ years of payroll experience with extensive knowledge of HR, payroll, and time management systems, with a focus on ADP Globalview.
- Strong technical knowledge of SAP PAYROLL systems and their integration with other HR and financial systems.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, workflow, and procedures in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leveraging analytics and automation to effectively improve business processes.
- Experience with US & Canada payroll processes and compliance requirements.
- Ability to critically think and troubleshoot payroll systems and HR technology issues.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and constant change of priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Project Management experience.
- Proven ability to work as an individual contributor in a team environment, with a strong eagerness for collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ADP Globalview, SAP HCM, and Kronos.
- Certification in ADP Globalview or related payroll systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and their impact on payroll systems.
- Familiarity with other HRIS and ERP systems.
