As we continue to reinforce GEARS’(Group Equipment and Automation Robotics Systems) role in supporting the Group’s growth in the med-tech domain, we are creating this position to consolidate our organization in the industrialization of our MedTech product portfolio.
Reporting to the Head of Med-Tech Manufacturing, the Industrialization Manager is responsible for product industrialization, meaning the development of manufacturing processes to meet product specifications and achieve expected economic performance targets. In a pivotal role between R&D and Manufacturing, the Industrialization department works closely with other stakeholders such as R&D, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing sites.
The Industrialization Manager focuses their efforts on four key areas:
- Industrialization of new products: participating in product design to propose the best manufacturing option, developing the manufacturing process with site Methods: process qualification IOQ/OQ/PQ, manufacturing procedure, tooling and testing development, testing benches, process improvement, support for CE/FDA/NMPA registration.
- Product sustaining and improvement: managing change requests coming from R&D, Sourcing, and Manufacturing to improve costs, reliability, and performance.
- Manufacturing performance: sites benchmarking, sharing best practices within other GEARS Dpt, and promoting a lean manufacturing culture.
- Industrial project management: product transfer to other sites, automation projects, capacity expansion projects, etc.
This person leads a team of engineers which is still being finalized in order to gradually integrate the entire scope..
Candidate Profile:
- MSc in engineering, with 5 to 10 years in industrial management,
- Significant experience in manufacturing or industrialization of medical devices with mechatronics system.
- Endowed with a very strong spirit of service, you have the sense of analysis and business, and you are stimulated by the search for permanent progress through the pragmatic questioning of what exists.
- Rigorous and structured, you have an excellent interpersonal skill and you enjoy teamwork in a multicultural context.
- Fluent English required, French should be appreciated.
- Frequent travel to R&D and manufacturing sites in France, Europe, NorthAmerica, China.
