We are looking for an experienced Finance Generalist/ Accountant to join our entity in Cotonou, Benin.

Main responsibilities:

• Collect required documentation for suppliers and customers creation on internal company tool
• Creation of Purchase orders as per company policies
• Account payable handling and posting
• Preparation of weekly payment file and
• Ensure the transfer of all accounting documents to local accounting advisor
• Accounts receivable accounting posting
• Follow up of collection and support of West Africa credit Manager
• Follow up with accounting advisor of bank outstandings
• Balance sheet reconciliations and follow up of outstandings 
• Preparation of tax and social security returns and submission in collaboration with accounting advisor
• Fixed assets management and posting
• Petty cash posting
• Support of the finance manager in internal and external audits
• Support the finance manager and group central team in monthly and year end closing
• Ensure the contact with banks and local authorities

Must-have requirements:

• Education: degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience: 3+ years in accounting/finance roles, ideally in multinational companies or financial institutions. Big4 experience is a plus
• Expertise: Knowledge of local social security and tax platforms
• Languages: Fluent in English and French (both written and spoken)
• Tech Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Traits: Detail-oriented, autonomous, proactive, and accurate
• Travel: Willing to travel locally and internationally.
