Your day as a Utility Engineer:
This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility systems, ensuring that buildings and other facilities are in optimal condition. The Utility Engineer will lead initiatives to enhance building efficiency, implement smart technologies, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Operations
■ Execute corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance for all utility systems and building infrastructure.
■ Ensure utility systems (e.g., HVAC, fire alarm, cooling, wastewater treatment) are operating efficiently and reliably.
■ Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
■ Monitor and troubleshoot utility systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
Facility & Building Management
■ Ensure all buildings and facilities are maintained in good condition and are fully operational.
■ Estimate costs and manage budgets for building renovation projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
■ Oversee building improvement projects, including structural, electrical, and mechanical upgrades.
Technology & Innovation
■ Implement smart building technologies such as automated lighting, HVAC, and security systems to enhance efficiency and occupant comfort.
■ Utilize AI-driven solutions for energy optimization, predictive maintenance, and resource allocation to reduce operational costs.
Environmental & Regulatory Compliance
■ Ensure the Wastewater Treatment System is operated properly and complies with environmental regulations.
■ Support sustainability initiatives, including solar energy systems and waste recycling programs.
■ Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001).
What do we ask from you:
Required Qualifications
■ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
■ Minimum 7 years of experience in utility systems and building renovation.
■ Strong knowledge of Fire alarm systems, Cooling systems, Wastewater treatment
■ Familiarity with solar energy systems and waste recycling practices.
■ Proficiency in 3D drawing or SketchUp.
■ Experience with Preventive Maintenance Planning for utility systems.
■ Good in English, able to communicate effectively both written and spoken.
■ Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
■ Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
■ Systematic thinking, good analytics, self-motivation and high responsibility.
Preferable qualifications
■ Overseas working experience and/or working experience in a Western company is preferable.
■ A TOEIC score above 700 or a similar English proficiency test result is preferable.
