Your day as an Engineering Manager:

The Engineering Manager will lead and oversee engineering operations to ensure optimal production support, process control, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, HR, and Global Excellence teams to drive innovation, maintain high standards, and support new product and technology integration.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Production Support & Process Control
    ■ Lead the engineering support strategy for daily production operations.
    ■ Review and approve the implementation of Process Control Plans (PCP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
    ■ Oversee root cause analysis and drive initiatives to reduce recurring production issues.
    ■ Ensure process control systems are effectively applied and continuously improved.
    ■ Supervise yield analysis activities and ensure timely resolution of technical issues in collaboration with Quality and Manufacturing teams.

 

New Technologies, Processes & Products
    ■ Direct the deployment of new industrial technologies in coordination with Asia Excellence to enhance service, cost, and quality.
    ■ Approve and validate the integration of new technologies and processes into production.
    ■ Ensure industrial performance targets are defined and achieved in alignment with Production and Quality.
    ■ Oversee the setup of lab capabilities and data collection for new product introductions.
    ■ Lead the local rollout of new stacks, coatings, and other innovations, ensuring alignment with CI and Quality teams.
    ■ Approve and maintain updated process flow charts for all products.

 

Environmental Compliance – Wastewater Treatment
    ■ Define the strategic roadmap for water treatment in collaboration with the Global organization.
    ■ Ensure the wastewater system is adequately sized and maintained to support EOLT production volumes

 

Cost reduction
    ■ Lead cross-functional cost reduction initiatives related to raw materials and consumables.
    ■ Approve cost-saving plans and monitor progress through dashboards and KPIs.
    ■ Collaborate with Production, Asia Excellence, and Purchasing to define and execute long-term cost optimization strategies.

 

Capacities & Capex
    ■ Review and align the EOLT Capex plan with Engineering and business needs.
    ■ Lead the execution of Capex projects and ensure timely delivery and ROI realization.

 

LOFT Oversight
    ■ Oversee the implementation of the LOFT training system to ensure operator certification and compliance.
    ■ Approve training plans and ensure certified trainers deliver effective onboarding and retraining programs.
    ■ Coach and develop trainers to maintain high standards of training delivery on the shop floor.

 

People Management

    ■ Lead the implementation of HR and company policies within the engineering team.
    ■ Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and development planning for engineering 
    ■ Promote a positive and productive work environment through engagement and recognition programs.
    ■ Define and manage OKRs, conduct performance reviews, and approve Individual Development Plans (IDP).
    ■ Collaborate with HR and plant leadership on succession planning and career development.
    ■ Delegate responsibilities effectively and guide to ensure high team performance.
    ■ Promote and implement management best practices and GYT tools across the team.
    ■ Define the technical competency framework for EOLT Engineers.

 

 

What do we ask from you:
Required Qualifications

    ■ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering 
    ■ Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering leadership roles within a manufacturing environment 
    ■ Good in English, able to communicate effectively both written and spoken. 
    ■ Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
    ■ Strong knowledge of process control, lean manufacturing, and quality systems.
    ■ Systematic thinking, good analytics, self-motivation and high responsibility.
    ■ Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
    ■ Strong knowledge of Rx Production, products and Processing

Preferable qualifications
    ■ Overseas working experience and/or working experience in a Western company is preferable.
    ■ A TOEIC score above 700 or a similar English proficiency test result is preferable.
