Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and customer-oriented Production Planner to proactively manage production volumes in alignment with customer requirements, installed capacity, and material availability.

This role is responsible for planning and scheduling production activities, monitoring shipment progress, and ensuring daily distribution of accurate production programs and reports. A strong focus on customer service and operational efficiency is essential.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate and proactive production schedules based on customer demand and required volumes.
  • Plan production considering machine and equipment capacity versus production targets.
  • Consistently achieve service levels by volume, product, and overflow requirements.
  • Generate and distribute production reports, including production schedules and shipping/packing dispatches.
  • Ensure all reports are accurate before distribution to production and support departments.
  • Update production planning systems (daily or weekly, depending on changes) with adjustments, demand fluctuations, and mold inventory updates.
  • Analyze customer orders against mold availability to identify potential delays and communicate risks to Production Control Management.
  • Monitor production schedules (including lens production) against requirements and capacity, identifying progress or gaps.
  • Lead daily production floor meetings (LIFE) focused on backorders and customer KPIs.
  • Support departmental activities such as data entry, inventory control, reporting, and scheduling tools management.
  • Ensure processes are delivering expected outputs and performance results.
  • Actively participate in the Integrated Management System (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety).
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable procedures related to quality, environmental standards, and workplace health & safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with MRP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of demand forecasting and production planning
  • Inventory control experience
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Production Planner
