Your role:

 

The Global Marketing Director designs and implements the strategy in order to:

  • Develop the Crizal marketing strategy and EssilorLuxottica blue light strategy globally  
  • Strengthen desirability among various B2B and B2C targets, increase consumer awareness, brand differentiation, and brand superiority through an innovation and activation plan in collaboration with key stakeholders across the Group (R&D, Legal, Marketing Services, Regions or Countries, and other internal stakeholders)
  • Establish the ambition and 3-year development plan in terms of innovation and activation
  • Grow Crizal sales across all segments in the region and globally and develop marketing activities

 

Main responsibilities:

 

Marketing & brand Strategy:

  • Develop Crizal marketing strategy to grow the volume and value cross-brand within the group and implement the marketing plans
  • Coordinate interfaces with regions, countries, sales, and support services across the Group to build comprehensive and successful go-to-market and demand generation strategies
  • Define the co-branding marketing strategy by collaborating with frame brands within the group
  • Develop Blue light marketing strategy to increase the penetration within Essilor branded lenses  
  • Establish clear brand and product positioning with brand teams at the regional or global level, and help define differentiation points and our brand promise to customers
  • Work cross-functionally to integrate current marketing strategies across all sales channels to create consistent brand messaging and experience
  • Identify and understand geographical needs and local market opportunities (e.g., market analysis, growth potential, etc.)
  • Lead services and partnership programs for ECPs
  • Manage the marketing budget (in collaboration with the geographical finance team)

Product Innovation:

  • Develop the long term and short term innovation strategy with GLI, categories and regional teams
  • Develop a new product strategy, the full storytelling including the claims with different stakeholders, B2B and B2C marketing packages and Ensure the success of product launches to grow brands
  • Collaborate with market research and consumer insights experts to design studies and tests needed for innovation (on a global scale)
  • Organize go-to-market plans, trade shows, and roadshows with impact
  • Define quantitative ambitions before launch and pricing strategy

Communication and Education:

  • Build B2B2C 360° communication plan targeting ECPs, prescribers and consumers to support and accelerate brand growth, working with the creative hub and marketing services for the development of new campaigns and assets
  • Lead internal and external communication (key business focus areas such as SILMO, ECP roadshows, internal events, CSR) in collaboration with experts
  • Oversee all inbound and outbound marketing and communication efforts to enhance ECP education
  • Work closely with the medical marketing team to develop impactful tools for prescribers
  • Collaborate with the Leonardo team to create impactful training for ECPs/prescribers
  • Work with the internal PR team to explore new communication opportunities (e.g., digital influencers)
  • Lead the global marketing community with local teams to ensure cross-fertilization

Team Management:

  • Provide hierarchical management of the marketing team

 

Main requirements:

 

  • Master's degree (Bac+5 or equivalent) in Business and/or Marketing, and at least 10 years of experience in marketing leadership roles in B2B/B2C industries with increasing leadership responsibilities in organizations of similar or larger size, global scale, and complexity.
  • The role requires understanding the different marketing needs and strategies across countries.
  • It also requires strong brand sensitivity, solid customer marketing experience with expertise across the entire marketing mix, and proven experience in digital marketing, brand strategy, and communications.
  • Proven experience in innovation, multichannel management, and business and marketing strategy development is essential.
  • At least 5 years of experience in team, project, budget, and analysis management, as well as experience in an international and multicultural environment.
  • The role requires flexibility and the ability to navigate effectively within a matrix organization. Excellent oral and written presentation skills, professionalism, and diplomacy are essential. Comfort in a fast-paced environment is also required.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
