GENERAL FUNCTION
The EH&S Sr. Manager will be responsible for executing all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures across multiple EssilorLuxottica RxO labs to ensure compliance to all applicable local, state and Federal regulatory requirements. The EH&S Sr. Manager will be responsible for establishing relationships with internal business partners to build trust and confidence and influence EHS performance improvement.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops, recommends and implements programs to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal EHS regulations including documentation, reporting, training, and program development.
- Identify and maintain systems and processes for continuous improvement in EHS performance and compliance activities.
- Analyze safety metrics and provide leadership with accurate reporting and metrics to support business safety initiatives and justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest.
- Develop and implement site and department goals and strategies aligned with broader organization goals.
- Manage activities for Worker’s Compensation claim function to ensure timely reporting and management of claims manage costs. Ensure Incident Reporting and investigations processes identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Lead cross-functional teams to conduct risk assessments to proactively identify potential risks that could contribute to injuries or compliance issues and develop action plans to address.
- Provides technical support and direction for EHS compliance and accident prevention programs and practices.
- Interfaces with external regulatory agencies including OSHA, Fire Department and other local, state and federal agencies.
- Work with internal business partners regarding new product, equipment and process introductions, various EHS initiatives as well as programs and practices.
- Partner with corporate and other EssilorLuxottica EHS personnel in the U.S. and globally to leverage global safety and environmental best practices.
- Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 at a manufacturing or distribution site.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/BA in safety, environmental, ergonomics or a related field
- 8+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing organizations.
- Possess a thorough understanding of local, state and Federal regulatory requirements related to environmental, health & safety compliance.
- Experience leading change in a large manufacturing or distribution environment and managing multiple direct reports.
- Written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with Directors and VPs.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization.
- Certified Safety Professional or other EHS certifications a plus
Pay Range: $111,752.66 - $145,813.44
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
