Your role
We are looking for Production Shift Leader in Injection process who will be responsible for direct supervision of production operators to ensure that production line meets the day-to-day requirement by checking manpower resources, production program, materials availability in the workshop and ensuring production meets the organization's target goals. Communicates to Production Supervisor for any issues affecting the line as well as the well-being of operators including safety and efficient working environment.
Main responsibilities:
- Maintains KPIs for all shifts: product quality, labor and machine productivity, materials consumption, expenses, flow, safety.
- Adapt to changes in formulation and monomer preparation sequence.
- Monitor critical specifications and report deviations, creating action plans as needed.
- Validate new chemical batches, materials, and processes before production.
- Perform audits using Critical-To-Quality (CTQs), Kamishibai and control checklists.
- Engage with key personnel when production quality standards are not achieved.
- Foster trust, respect and a positive attitude among operators.
- Ensure on-time availability of quality monomer and other process requirements.
- Provide failure analysis reports and data insights on quality issues.
- Lead first-level investigations using Lean Initiatives for Excellence (LIFE) Tools.
- Monitor raw materials and waste generation.
- Coach, appraise and reward Coordinator/Operators.
A Portrait of a Perfect Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- At least one year of experience in a manufacturing company
- Experience in plastic Injection processes is an advantage
- Basic analytical skills (KPI measurement and analysis)
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications and statistical analysis software
- Good command of spoken and written English; experience in creating technical reports
- Must be able to work on a shifting schedule and render overtime when needed
- Knowledge in QC tools and problem-solving techniques is an advantage
- Has a background in technical, process, and equipment troubleshooting
