We are looking for an Inventory Accountant who will play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of the Company’s financial records by ensuring accurate inventory accounting and strict compliance with the Group policies, Accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
This role serves as a key link between finance, operations, and audit functions, driving accountability and transparency across the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
- Inventory Accounting
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and group policies
2. Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Support timely and accurate financial reporting
- Collaborate with GBS and FP&A to meet group requirements
3. Audit & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements
- Support legal and regulatory compliance
4. Closing, Analysis & Reconciliation
- Perform inventory analysis, reconciliations, and monthly journal entries
- Prepare reports on inventory movements, sales, and cost analysis
5. Costing & Revaluation
- Set up product costs and transfer pricing in Oracle
- Manage standard cost updates and annual revaluation
6. Reporting & Data Analysis
- Prepare inventory, gross margin, and working capital reports
- Submit required corporate and regulatory reports
7. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support inventory budget and forecast with analysis and insights
8. Inventory Provision
- Review and validate provision calculations
- Prepare reports and recommendations for management
9. Physical Inventory Count
- Plan and execute annual inventory count
- Reconcile results and support audit requirements
A Portrait of a Perfect Candidate
Essentials:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- At least 3 years’ experience in cost accounting (financial reporting, budgeting, analysis)
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of PEZA and Customs regulations in a manufacturing setup
Other Skills:
- Familiarity with Oracle or SAP
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Detail-oriented
