JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sales Operations Team Lead provides support to the manager by ensuring the team is set up for success. The Lead acts as the liaison between the Account Manager and all internal departments (Customer Service, Logistics, Planning, Credit, IT, Marketing, Product) inside the Port Washington/Atlanta warehouse and is responsible for helping to follow up and resolve customer requests and issues.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handles escalated issues and leads the effort to satisfactorily resolve them.
  • Answers Sales Operations Specialist inquiries, providing guidance and support.
  • Coordinates and ensures processing of specific request (sales reports or tracker, UPC codes, pictures, MBO, etc.)
  • Partners with Account Management Teams to address and resolve all issues regarding customer billing issues, PO and shipping, etc.
  • Liaises with Credit Department to address all credit-related customer issues as required by the Account Manager.
  • Researches, resolves and responds to questions regarding invoice discrepancies and accounts on credit hold.
  • Helps to filter all requests received and distributes accordingly. Collects back response and information and provides to the respective manager inquired.
  • Collects orders from Account Managers and interacts with all departments to ensure orders are being processed in a timely manner.
  • Works with Allocation Manager and distribution center to ensure timely shipping of orders.
  • Works with Customer Maintenance to update/change/revise any detail to the profile of the customer (ie: bill to/ship to addresses, contact info, billing terms, and all specifications of the customer).
  • Works with Discount and Commissions Department to ensure customer receives correct discounts as well as billing documents are accurate.
  • Works with Inventory Planning to provide current status of sku’s (new, limited editions, obsolete), transfers of inventory and daily/weekly allocations performed to maximize fill rates of orders.
  • Monitors and reports back on the forecast daily.
  • Provides UPC information to Account Managers for their customers.
  • Coordinates invoice copies and order updates to Account Managers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degree
  • 1+ year(s) of related work experience
  • Strong PC skills; proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Internet
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task with limited supervision
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Takes initiative
  • Innovative thinking
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with all levels of internal leadership and staff
  • Places a high priority on responsiveness
  • SAP experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
