Your role:
Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, you will engage independent optician clients with effective account management. Your will advocate our lenses among existing accounts to boost profitable sales through direct and indirect channels and ensure the best products are positioned to the most relevant customers. You will also look for opportunities to acquire new clients for lenses directly or to introduce other members of our EssilorLuxottica team to ensure growth.
You will develop, build, and maintain relationships to promote sales of the company's entire product range in line with stated objectives and forecasts to ensure that EssilorLuxottica progresses and develops as the preferred supplier to customers in the territory, always motivated and aiming for excellent results.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensure an effective and consistent field call program for independent direct and indirect accounts.
- Sell the full range of EssilorLuxottica lenses products in your geographic area to increase sales, ensuring EssilorLuxottica becomes the preferred supplier through negotiations with opticians.
- Present all relevant marketing/commercial activities to key staff, agreeing on actions and processes necessary to ensure success, focusing on differentiation with personalized lenses and premium technologies.
- Regularly review customer business activity, product range and supplier preferences, promoting EssilorLuxottica lenses as the first choice but ultimately securing lens volumes with a tailored commercial offer.
- Agree and implement customer training, both practical and in the form of seminars, on all new and existing products to improve value-added sales and product range.
- Maintain accurate customer records and reports for relevant accounts to ensure precise analysis of sales data and market activities, recording all relevant information in see4c.com.
- Ensure that knowledge of EssilorLuxottica and competitor products is continuously maintained.
- Continuously evaluate the market, maintaining comprehensive records on customers and competitors to identify opportunities and provide detailed call reports, monthly reports, and planning sheets to the sales management team.
- Act as an ambassador for the EssilorLuxottica lenses brands, collaborating with colleagues from the Bespoke and Transitions teams to engage customers when appropriate.
Main requirements:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree as an Optician/Optometrist or mathematics
- Successful experience in sales account management in a related field
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a remote team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively analyze and interpret data
- Adaptability in communication style according to situations and contexts
- Establish trustful relationships with all stakeholders
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Experience in using sales and negotiation techniques
- Good understanding of the commercial world
- Proficiency in IT and ability to quickly learn new tools
- A mindset that embraces flexible working hours (if necessary) and is not tied to conventional office hours to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in French with a good knowledge of English; Dutch is a plus.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of pricing systems, marketing theory and their practical application, as well as skills in sales and negotiation techniques
- Proven track record in effectively delivering training and coaching to facilitate behavior change
- Previous experience in conducting training sessions for groups and individuals
- Knowledge of lens manufacturing processes, company products, and a thorough understanding of the Belgian optical market
- Practical experience in the optical industry
