We are looking for experienced sales leaders who possess strong expertise in B2B Sales, Distributor & Channel Management, and Regional Business Development to drive Essilor’s vision and accelerate presence across the designated territories. Join us in redefining the boundaries of what’s possible.

Your Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager/ Business Head, you will lead a team of Territory Sales Executives, work closely with internal cross-functional teams, and manage multiple external stakeholders including distributors and key regional customers. You will be responsible for delivering sales targets, driving market penetration, and ensuring flawless execution of regional strategies.

 

Main Responsibilities

1. Sales Achievement & Regional Strategy Execution

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned region.
  • Translate regional strategy into actionable execution plans for TSEs.
  • Drive Routes-to-Market (RTM) initiatives and ensure the region receives appropriate support, resources and inputs.
  • Identify growth opportunities, contribute actively to the ICP and increase overall market share.

 

2. People Leadership & Team Development

  • Set monthly/quarterly/yearly targets for all TSEs.
  • Lead, train, coach and develop TSEs to deliver high-quality in-store execution and sales performance.
  • Support TSEs in problem-solving with retailers, distributors and regional partners.
  • Ensure TSEs adhere to company standards, guidelines and responsibilities.

 

3. Channel, Distributor & Key Customer Management

  • Appoint, develop and manage distributors while ensuring continuity and compliance with Essilor norms.
  • Define distributor boundaries and ensure business development within each territory.
  • Build relationships with key customers managed by TSEs and support in critical business discussions.
  • Assist distributors with performance reviews, training and resolving operational challenges

 

4. Market Execution & Trade Activities

  • Implement regional, channel and customer strategies to enhance coverage and visibility.
  • Roll out trade and product promotions per company guidelines.
  • Ensure product availability, POP execution and merchandising standards in key store locations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing and promotional efforts.

 

5. Administration, Reporting & Internal Coordination

  • Submit timely and accurate market reports, competitor insights and promotional effectiveness updates.
  • Manage correspondence, expenses, leave approvals and performance appraisals for sales staff.
  • Coordinate communication between Regional Office and field teams.
  • Proactively manage manpower to minimize route gaps.

C. Technical Skills — Portrait of a Perfect Candidate

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
  • MBA/PGDM preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret market opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PPT and digital reporting systems.

 

D. Candidate Profile

  • 8–10 years of experience in B2B Sales, Distributor Management & Customer Engagement.
  • Exposure to Optical Retail, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG/FMCD preferred.
  • Experience in regional market handling and key towns.
  • High levels of energy, influence capability, and ability to lead in ambiguity.
  • Goal-oriented, self-driven, collaborative, and able to work across diverse teams.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region 

 

 

E. Languages

  • Proficiency in English and local language is essential; multilingual ability is an advantage.
