Your role
We are looking for an internship in Operations with a focus on RFID & NFC technology.
He/she will support our Operations upgrading and finding new solutions related to RFID & NFC encoding process along the Supply Chain. He/She will perform all activities associated with the design and test of the solution. The candidate will join the Business Process Innovation team whose purpose is to guide the innovation inside Essilor Luxottica frames manufacturing all over the world
Main responsibilities:
- Understand user needs and help the business to go from an AS IS procedure to a TO BE solution through the implementation of new technologies.
- Perform site analyses to determine system configurations, processes to be impacted, or on-site obstacles to technology implementation.
- Perform acceptance testing on newly installed or updated systems.
- Integrate tags, readers, or software in radio frequency identification device (RFID) designs. Perform systems analysis, test devices, select appropriate tags and determine placement locations.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Brand Protection, Engineering, Logistics, Store excellence, Sourcing, and IT teams to implement new solutions.
Main requirements:
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
- Knowledge of telecommunications technologies. Experience with RFID is a plus.
- Strong relationship attitude and excellent communication skills.
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
- STEM Bachelor or Master degree. Electronic skills are a plus.
