Your role

We are looking for an AME Hardware Equipment & Fixture Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team in Agordo. The role will support the development, installation, optimization and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, automation systems, fixtures and tooling for our products.

The ideal candidate has a hands-on engineering background, strong troubleshooting skills and experience with automated assembly equipment, supporting projects from equipment definition and supplier follow-up through commissioning, ramp-up and continuous improvement.

 

Main responsibilities: 

  • Support the selection, installation, commissioning, debugging and buy-off of manufacturing equipment, automation systems, fixtures and tooling.
  • Evaluate equipment capability, accuracy and performance against product and process requirements, identifying improvement actions to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Support and optimize advanced assembly equipment and processes, including glue dispensing, hot/cold pressing, laser welding, soldering and related automation technologies.
  • Analyze equipment failures, recurring defects and production issues, defining corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with Production, Process Engineering, Quality and Maintenance teams.
  • Develop, improve and maintain production fixtures and tooling, including technical documentation, work instructions and process parameters.
  • Coordinate suppliers for customized equipment and fixture development, delivery follow-up, technical alignment and cost improvement initiatives.

 

Main requirements: 

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical background.
  • At least 5 years of experience in equipment engineering, automation equipment, equipment maintenance, fixture/tooling engineering or similar roles within manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience with automated assembly equipment and technologies such as glue dispensing, hot/cold pressing, laser welding, soldering, ultrasonic welding or comparable processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment, analyze process issues and drive technical improvements in terms of stability, quality, productivity and downtime reduction.
  • Knowledge of technical drawings, fixture/tooling design principles and main mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or automation components.
